Our Services

Parents bring their children for orthodontic care all throughout their childhood.

For younger children, early treatment may:

- prevent future bite problems from developing

- improve a child's appearance with proper jaw alignment

- maintain a more stable, long-term result.

For older children, braces may be needed when there is an overbite, underbite, gummy smile, deep bite or open bite.

Warning Signs

To determine whether orthodontic treatment is necessary, parents should be aware of the following warning signs:

- overlapping or crowded teeth

- difficulty when chewing

- open mouth breathing

- speech problems

- tongue thrusting

- thumb or finger sucking after the age of 4

- jaw joint problems

Early Intervention

The length of orthodontic treatment often decreases with early intervention. Later comprehensive orthodontic procedures may also be eliminated. Emotional development is tied into your child's appearance. Proper tooth alignment can improve appearance and overall health.

We know that a child with healthy teeth can chew food correctly, learn to speak clearly, and ultimately "put on" a confident smile for a lifetime.

Adult Treatment

There are no fundamental differences between treatment for adults and children. Despite certain growth limitations, orthodontic tooth movement occurs in a similar way at all ages. Adult treatment may involve, but is not limited to certain procedures:

- Straighten teeth and correct the bite while improving the overall smile.

- Positioning the teeth correctly so that other dental treatment can be used (i.e. implants, bridges,…)

- Improve periodontal (gum) health by eliminating plaque collection areas

- Positioning the teeth so that the bite functions properly over time.
